Name:  James Reuben Yutzy

Spouse’s Name: Becky Yutzy

Children:  No children. Zero.

Pets:  nope

Hobbies/Interests:  I do have some of these! I enjoy tennis, racquetball in the winter.  I enjoy reading leisurely. I will put up no fight about becoming comatose in front of a good movie.

Favorite food:  bacon and potato chips.  Preferably thick sliced bacon (hickopry cured is my favorite, but now I’m just getting picky. Martins Kettle Cooked Barbeque are my preference of chips as well, but really any bacon and any chips are good by me!

Favorite movies:  I like movies that make you think.  The first time I watched Vanilla Sky I enjoyed it, but then its not as good the next time you see it.  I’m drawing a blank currently of other movies like that.  I also enjoy a good romantic comedy if it has a plot line.

Favorite books:   Brennen Manning, Donald Miller, Mike Yaconelli, I enjoy spiritual formation books, but I don’t know what can beat a leisurely read other than a novel.  Right now I’m reading East of Eden by John Stienbeck, very interesting.

Favorite TV shows:   well, we enjoy watching Bones and House, but on the lighter side we also like Scrubs, friends and Seinfeld. I enjoy mystery crime shows, when they aren’t too nasty. C.S.I., C.S.I.: Miami, Life is another one I am getting into.  It is fantastic to watch full episodes of programs on the network websites.  It makes me feel better because then my life doesn’t revolve around the TV.

Currently listening to: Colin Hay, Ellis Paul, Nora Jones, Dave Matthews, Jack Johnson, mellow acoustic rhythms that rock you to sleep…Mmm…

Favorite place in the world: we enjoy East Africa: Kenya, Tanzania. We both went on different service trips and then we got the privilege of serving together in Nakuru, Kenya.  The people there are so loving and welcoming and so different for the American status quo it was refreshing. We hope to go back frequently.

Something interesting about me that most people don't know: Allen Renninger and I grew up in the same town: Lewistown, PA!

My denominational background is Mennonite, not Brethren in Christ... But they are similar, so I haven't strayed too far from home.

I graduated from Messiah College with a degree in Biblical Studies in May of 2008, so I'm relatively fresh out of school.

I don’t have a great sense of smell, so I like to eat mostly anything.  I’m not at all a picky eater.

Guilty Pleasures:
Laying around, lazily spending time when I know I should be doing other things.
