In the 1950's, Brethren in Christ missionaries went to the country of India and saw a great need for the education of children. They built a small school and provided the cost of the education through the limited amount of money they had personally.
Soon they started sharing the need with others back in the U.S. and over the years this program has grown and developed to include eight hostels where children come to learn and be cared for in India and Nepal.
Pastor Alan has mentioned the need and opportunity associated with SPICE many times and sees it as a way to impact the Kingdom of God today in a very practical and meaningful way. Please consider if this is a way God is calling you to help impact His world as you help provide for those who cannot provide for themselves.
Some of the current leaders in India making huge impacts in children's lives were once in the program themselves. It is truly amazing to see how God can use the initial passion of a few to affect the lives of children in such a dramatic way that many are now grown up and leading and teaching other children in this very organization. The Kingdom, and your giving, can be a double blessing.
