Teaching children at this age has a tremendous impact on who they become and what they believe. The entire fiber of their soul is under construction during this time period, and we dedicate a great deal of energy toward ensuring that Godly principles are understood and appreciated. The lessons given to this age group include teaching our children that God made them, God loves them, and Jesus wants to be their friend forever.

Sign-in sheets are located outside each room. A parent, guardian or older sibling must sign out the child before they will be released.

UPDATES:

After School Alliance

Children in grades 2-5 from a chosen elementary school will be meeting together for an afternoon to talk about how they can support and encourage each other to stand up for their faith in school. The children will be picked up at school by Jane Beachy and taken to a local ice cream shop for a treat as they spend time encouraging each other to stand up for what they believe in when they are not at church.

All children who participate must turn in TWO permission forms. One is to be given the Jane Beachy the week prior to the event.  The other is to be turned in to the school office giving Jane permission to pick them up after school. Children will be driven back to their school to be picked up by their parents at 4:30 p.m.

If you have any questions, please contact Jane Beachy at 243-1863, or janebeachy@carlislebic.org.

Rest Stop is for those children who attend Sunday school during the 8:45 service.  Since the lesson will be the same both hours, children may go to Rest Stop for a more relaxing time.  While in Rest Stop the children may watch a video, play some games, have a snack etc. Rest Stop is ONLY for children who have attended 8:45 Sunday school and whose parents are serving in a ministry capacity on that day which requires the family to be at church over both worship service times.

5th Grade Study is for those children who have just completed 5th grade and will be moving to middle school in the fall.  This class is led by one of our 5th grade small group leaders.  During this time children will discuss different topics and what the Bible has to say about those topics.  Children do not have to attend the 8:45 service in order to participate in this class.  But this class is ONLY for those who just completed 5th grade

Below you will find a brief description for our ministry during each hour of worship service times:

8:45 am- Children in grades K-2 attend Primary Worship and children in grades 3-5 attend Junior Worship. Both groups start the morning singing and worshipping together before dividing for age-appropriate Bible lessons.

10:30 am- All school-age children attend Promiseland designed specifically for the different grade levels- K/1, 2/3 and 4/5. Promiseland includes relevant worship through songs, creative Bible lessons in a large group setting and connecting relationally during small group time.
